A Response To “Hurd’s Reign as Hewlett CEO Is Bookended by Scandal”
What a load of b.s. that his becoming Chairman of the Board on top of CEO had anything to do with this. Comment is from an activist who hates to see CEOs as COBs as well. This dual role did nothing to save him i the end, it appears. Further, there are many European companies where these roles are usually/always split that have scandals too. I love the way they try to tie their own agenda into every bit of bad news. Next, they’ll blame employee stock advice options (always a reason for some prob) or his compensation. Bottom line is if you’ve owned this stock since he took over, you’ve done well. That was what he was paid to do. I hope they find someone who can be as successful.
